We are pleased to announce that after a year of publication break, Commoning Ethnography is open for submissions for Issue 6, to be published in December 2025.
We welcome reflective, engaged, and impassioned writing that challenges norms of ethnographic writing and explores the boundaries of ethnographic knowledge. We also welcome ethnographic and theoretical accounts of the commoning projects that exist within contemporary life, be they within academia, social movements, political spaces, emergent economies, environmental debates, creative practices or intimate and quotidian arenas of social life.
We accept standard research articles (6,000-8,000 words inclusive of bibliography, tables, etc.), as well as commoning conversations, provocations, fieldnotes, review essays, interviews, experimental works, and photo/visual/multimedia essays (see our website for details).
All submissions undergo a peer-engaged, non-blind review process where the authors and reviewers can engage in a constructive, intellectual opportunity for potential mentorship and peer-making.
Deadline for Open Submissions is 1 May 2025.
To submit, please email your contribution as a Word document (with an abstract in the first page) to editors for this issue, Paola Tiné (paola.tine@vuw.ac.nz) and Amir Sayadabdi (amir.sayadabdi@vuw.ac.nz).
Ngā mihi,
Amir Sayadabdi & Paola Tiné, on behalf of the Commoning Ethnography Editorial Collective
